Two-day Myanmar EITI Orientation and Shan Sub-National Coordination Unit (SNU) Formation Workshop was held in Government Office, Taunggyi, Shan State on 30-31 November, 2018.
Prime Minister and Ministers of Shan State, Shan State Hluttaw Speaker and Members of Parliament, Governmental Department Officials, Shan State Private Sector Representatives, Civil Society Organizations, Myanmar EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group members, Budget Department (Fiscal Policy, Strategy and EITI Unit) Officials, Myanmar EITI National Coordinator and Officials were attended in the first day workshop.
Myanmar EITI NCS officials introduced about EITI, Beneficial Ownership Process, Myanmar EITI implementation status and the audience asked the questions for their awareness.
At the second day, Natural Resource and Environmental Conservation Minister, Members of Parliament, Government Department Officials, Shan State Private Sector Representatives, Civil Society Organizations, Myanmar EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group members, Budget Department (Fiscal Policy, Strategy and EITI Unit) Officials, Myanmar EITI National Coordinator and Officials were joined the workshop.
Myanmar EITI NCS officials presented about Myanmar EITI implementation status. Myanmar Multi-Stakeholder Group members presented about ToR of Sub-Coordination Unit in respective sector and the attended Officials proposed the names for Shan SNU and finally formed Shan SNU and then the workshop was ended after discussing the future plan for SNU.
