Gems Sector GIS and Mapping workshop was held at Horizon lake View Hotel, Naypyitaw on March 21, 2019.
This workshop was organized to emphasize on sharing the field visit experience for Gems sector by Mr. Chorn Nak, consultant of Pre-cadaster working group and to make plan for future implementation on Gems sector Mapping.
U Kyaw Thet, Deputy director of Department of Mining from MONREC joined the workshop and gave the opening speech. Mr. Chorn Nak shared his experience on field visits of Gems sector and discussed on actual present situations and also gave recommendtions for developing geo-spatial data for Myanma Gems Enterprise. Ms. Aye Kyi Thar Swe from Natural Resource Governance Institue (NRGI) Myanmar presented the updated progress of Gems sector-Management Information System and then all participants discussed on forming of GIS & Mapping Task-Force and Logistic requirement for implementation of Gems sector GIS and Mapping.
