Two days EITI Reflection Conference was held on 27-28, May 2019 at Horizon Lake View Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
This conference aims to reflect and evaluate the past milestones and document lesson learnt, the second is to reenergize the stakeholders in translating EITI reports and processes into tangible reform processes in Myanmar.
It was emphasized for the stakeholders involved in the MEITI process to reflect, and evaluate the past milestones and achievements in order to charge ahead with new standards such as beneficial ownership, mainstreaming of ETI standards and contract disclosure requirement.
H.E Dr. Ye Myint Swe, Deputy Minister of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, U Khin Latt Gyi, Director General of Mining Department and Vice Chairmain of MEITI MSG, Departmental Officials of Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Electricity and Energy and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Members of MEITI multi-stakeholder group, Members of Beneficial Ownership Task Force, Members of MEITI Sub-national Coordinators, NRGI and development partners, MEITI National Coordinator U Soe Win and Staffs of National Coordination Secretariat, officials of Companies and Other observers were joined the conference.
