Hosted by the Government of France on 18-19 June 2019 in Paris, the 8th EITI Global Conference gathered more than 1000 stakeholders from around the globe to take stock of progress and priorities in extractives transparency. Centered around the theme "Open Data, Build Trust", the EITI Global Conference addressed how extractives governance can be harnessed for inclusive development. At that conference, the EITI Chair's Awards recognise countries that have shown leadership, determination and resourcefulness in implementing the EITI.

The self nomination essay of MEITI prescribed the EITI implementation  progress, challenges and constraints. And also the progress of PFM and extractive SOE /SEE reform which are in line with the National Policy - MSDP (Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan). The objective of the submission of this essay is to show MEITI progress so far and capacity constraints.
