The objective of the assignment is to support MOBD staff in the implementation throughout 2021 and to transfer all EITI Secretariat functions to government staff by December 2021 and provide recommendations to continued technical or sector-specific support.

The Oil and Gas Expert will provide the following services and tasks laid out in Section 3 of the Terms of Reference;

• Mentoring MOBD Staff and provide support to the MEITI Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) and other relevant government counterparts on EITI thematic issues related to the Oil and Gas sector;
• Conducting research and drafting technical documents.

The consultancy period will be 3 months from the period of January 2021 to March 2021, with the possibility of extension.

The position will be based in Nay Pyi Taw/Yangon with frequent travel to Yangon /Nay Pyi Taw.
