The 1st Extractive SOEs Reformation Workshop was held taking into account the recommendations in the MEITI reports and Validator's Report. The preparation meeting for this SOEs workshop was conducted with MSG and relevant departments officials on 30 January 2019 at Nay Pyi Taw.

Then, the workshop was conducted on 21 and 22 February 2019 at Nay Pyi Taw with two objectives; (i) to present the existing status of SOEs, exchange knowledge and learn lessons from the local/global SOE reform experience, and (ii) to discuss a potential SOE reform action plan, including deliverables and timeframe.
